A brief history and overview of the CPS range of Concrete Pumps:
CPS International
In 1983, our current CEO and founder formed a concrete pump hire company, Premier Concrete Pumping Ltd with one Trailer Mounted Concrete Pump. This was after already having over 15 years’ experience in the concrete pumping industry. This company grew to have over 160 units when it was sold to the US based Concrete Pumping Holdings Inc in 2016.
The senior management team of the company helped notable European manufacturers design concrete pumps for varying applications including specialist units for the demands of the piling and foundation sectors.
CPS International Ltd (CPS) was formed in 2002 to undertake design work, consultancy and sales of concrete pumping machinery which led to work in Europe, the Middle East and South America.
It slowly became evident that the traditional manufacturers (all under new ownership from China) no longer wanted to build pumps to the specifications of their customers’ demands and it was decided that a new partnership was required.
In 2017 the relationship with KCP Heavy Industries (KCP) began and subsequently CPS became an independent KCP dealer for the UK, Ireland and other territories for specialist concrete pumping equipment.
This close partnership has resulted in CPS having its own line of machinery which has been designed completely with the user in mind. It is not unfair to say that CPS’s range are concrete pumps designed by concrete pumpers, not by those sat in an office using CAD.
KCP Heavy Industries
KCP are an international company based in South Korea with two factories in Seoul and Busan and further factories in Canada and Austria. They have been designing and manufacturing concrete pumps and associated equipment for over 30 years. The Directors at the company are all seasoned concrete pump builders from other companies that shared a common goal…to build concrete pumps that are as simple to use and with as many benefits to the end user as possible.
KCP are now one of the leading manufacturers of concrete pumps in the world rapidly increasing their market share globally but most notably in North America, The Middle East and Europe. It is also worth noting that since CPS International Ltd introduced the CPS pump range to the UK and Ireland in 2019, we have sold over 130 concrete pumps, alongside a quality spares and support service, that we believe to be unrivalled.
